Did you know there are 60,000 people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease annually? Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative disorder, which can cause the deterioration of motor skills, as well as balance, speech, and sensory functions.
Rock Steady Boxing began as a means to help those affected by Parkinson’s Disease. Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact, boxing-based exercise course designed to offer hope to those with Parkinson’s Disease. It helps participants build strength, flexibility, and speed. Currently, there are 511 programs around the world, with over 25,000 folks training – and growing. Rock Steady classes have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson’s, can increase their quality of life.
Heritage Pointe of Warren began its Rock Steady Boxing program in February of 2015. Since then, the number of participants has doubled in size! Our participants are not only Heritage Pointe Community members but also come from surrounding counties.
If you are suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, ask your doctor if Rock Steady Boxing is right for you! Then, you can check out the link below about Heritage Pointe of Warren’s Rock Steady program for more information.
