16 May Heritage Pointe Communities Welcomes New Board Member
Heritage Pointe Communities announces and welcomes its new Board of Trustees President, Rev. James D. Jones.
Rev. Jones was elected President of the Board of Trustees of the United Methodist Memorial Home for the next three years at its annual meeting on May 8, 2018. Rev. Jones has been a member of the Board since June of 2014. During that time, he has served on several other boards and committees including the UMMH Foundation Board, the Heritage Pointe of Huntington Foundation Board, and the Dogwood Glen Golf Course Governing Committee. Rev. Jones is a retired United Methodist Minister with the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church where he served on many boards and committees during his 41 years of pastoral service.
The Heritage Pointe Communities team says thank you to those who have finished their years of service on the Board of Trustees.
Rev. Larry A. Johnson has been a most valued member of the Board of Trustees, UMMH Foundation Board, and The Heritage of Huntington Foundation Board for a total of 18 years. His ministerial background and expertise provided useful insight and knowledge in the decision-making processes of these Boards. Rev. Johnson had a key role in the Board that oversaw development and completion of some of Heritage Communities’ largest projects to date – including Dogwood Glen Villas, Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne, and other key developments.
Rev. Lamar L. Imes, also of ministerial background and expertise, was another key decision-making influencer in the processes of the Board of Trustees. Rev. Imes’ viewpoints and outlook on matters shared at the meetings were always in the best interests of the residents, employees and UMMH. Rev. Imes served three, three-year terms, and provided valuable insight throughout the development of numerous large Heritage Communities projects.
Rev. Ronald F. VerLee, another Board member of notable ministerial background and expertise served the Board of Trustees and Long-Range Planning Committee well for 9 years! It is his association and leadership with St. Joseph United Methodist Church which provides worship services to the Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne campus that has made that program so successful. His knowledge and active participation as a Board and Committee member will be greatly missed. Thank you for your three, three-year terms of service – we are grateful for your dedicated tenure.
Mrs. Teresa J. Tracey’s background and expertise in finance and business administration provided valuable insight and knowledge in the decision-making processes of the Board of Trustees, UMMH Foundation, and the Finance Committee. We thank her for her thoughtful guidance and leadership as Treasurer and Trustee over her three-year term!
