16 Mar Safety First at Heritage Pointe of Warren
In our effort to be as transparent as possible, we continue to bring you updates here. It seems each new day brings further recommendations from the state level on how to protect your loved ones in our care. We reiterate, there is no illness inside the main building, but because of the proximity in surrounding counties, our policy has changed.
– There can no longer be Leaves of Absence for anything other than medical necessity for our main building residents. This includes dining out and family outings.
– There will be no social visitation or group activities (ie: Bingo, cards, spousal visits)
-Those who can safely do so will dine in their rooms in healthcare. In other areas, social distancing practice has been put into place in our dining rooms.
-Outside providers (lab, xray, etc) will be limited to medical necessity and each will put on PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to enter the building.
-Families may continue to drop off needed supplies by calling ahead. The 1A entrance for Healthcare residents and the Front reception entrance for Assisted Living and Residential are the drop-off areas.
Our staff continues to have multidisciplinary meetings each day to plan for all the needs of our residents. We will research new ways to help our residents through this period of isolation with as many interventions as we can. Please contact your social services representative if you need assistance reaching your loved one via phone calls, etc.
Today has been declared a National Day of prayer. Please join us in continuing to pray not only for the physical, but the mental health of all of our residents and staff in the days ahead.
